MEET THE FOUNDER

Michael Clinton is a best-selling author, new longevity expert, thought leader, and keynote speaker on the changing face of what it means to live longer. He is also a writer-at-large for Esquire, and regular columnist for Men’s Health. A former president and publishing director of Hearst Magazines, he now serves as the special media advisor to the Hearst Corporation’s CEO.

He is also a photographer, has traveled through 124 countries, has run marathons on 7 continents, has started a nonprofit foundation, is a private pilot, is a part owner of a vineyard in Argentina, holds two master’s degrees, and still has a long list of life experiences that he plans to tackle.

Bill Gibbons

Bill Gibbons, a former journalist, editor, and media marketer, has applied his wide media experience to a new ROAR career of advising marketers, PR agencies, and new media companies on content development, monetization, client outreach, and audience engagement.

Over the course of his career, Bill has held senior positions in newspapers, magazines, digital media, and streaming video. He was a journalist and editor in the first half of his corporate media career, where he honed his content development skills. In the second half, he focused on media marketing and developed brand, ad sales, social, event, data, and content marketing skills.

As a senior marketer, Bill held positions at CBS News Digital, CBS All Access (Paramount+), Hearst Magazines Digital Media and magazine brands such Town&Country, Travel+Leisure, Forbes and GQ. At those companies he focused on developing strategies and programs to drive advertising/sponsorship revenue and consumer engagement on behalf of clients.

He is a graduate of Syracuse University where he studied Journalism and English Literature.

Eunice An is a practical strategic thinker who honed her strategic and operational skills at Accenture, The New York Times Co., Random House, and Hearst. She now consults with a wide variety of media organizations on process improvement, project management, and business analysis.

At Hearst, she was the General Manager of the Seventeen Group and two startups before heading up the Process Improvement and Project Management group in the Magazine Group.

She partnered with the President of Sales & Merchandising of Random House to restructure the group and redefine roles in response to radical changes in the retail and wholesale markets.

She collaborated with the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher to launch Fitness Magazine at The New York Times’ Magazine Division.

At Accenture, she managed the first Fortune 100 business process reengineering project at one of its major divisions, which resulted in follow-on work there and at other companies.

Eunice has a BA in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA in Finance & International Business from the University of Chicago.

Giulio Capua is a C-Level Sales and Marketing Executive with over 30 years of leadership experience building, re-imagining and monetizing world class brands. His strong reputation as a transformational leader who can navigate periods of disruption and change and deliver on stakeholder needs led Capua to start a brand consultancy in 2022.

Capua held the position of Sr. VP, Group Publisher, Departures, Travel+Leisure, Food&Wine from April 2018 – March 2022. He was recruited by Meredith immediately after the Time Inc acquisition to oversee the 90MM luxury brands.

Prior to Meredith, Capua spent 28 years climbing the ranks at Conde Nast, serving as Chief Business Officer of AD and Condé Nast Traveler in 2016-17. He was as publisher and chief revenue officer of AD from 2007-2016. Under his leadership, the brand experienced five consecutive years of sustained advertising page and revenue growth, developed highly profitable brand extensions and programs, was named to the 2012 Advertising Age “A-List,” and was awarded Hottest Home Magazine on Adweek’s “Hot List” in both 2015 and 2016.

Before joining AD, Capua served as vice president and publisher of Gourmet. During his tenure, the brand achieved several revenue and brand extension milestones including the best ad-page performance in its 65-year history, a place on Advertising Age’s “A-List” in 2006, an Emmy Nomination for its critically acclaimed PBS series, “Diary of a Foodie” and the launch of “The Gourmet Institute”

Prior to his tenure at Gourmet, Capua spent 12 years at GQ, advancing from sales representative to associate publisher.

Capua graduated from Ithaca College with a B.S. in finance and marketing.

Judy Glassman

Judy is currently working with ROAR forward while offering personalized instruction and inspiration, as a certified IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) Yoga Therapist with over 3,000 hours of service, to her clients.

Prior to this transition, Judy spent her career as a results-driven senior marketing and public relations professional for media companies and magazines including Smithsonian Media, Allure magazine, GQ magazine, Conde Nast Media Group and Premiere magazine among other marquis brands.

She is skilled as an ideas generator and has a proven ability to combine strategic thinking with creative ideas that incorporate technologies and trends affecting the marketplace. Her specialties included live events, innovative multi-platform campaigns; strategic consumer, trade and digital/social media marketing; promotional, industry and corporate events; building key partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.

In all careers, Judy has remained a level-headed, resourceful leader with a detail-oriented professional style.

Linda Mason

Veteran publisher, trend spotter and marketing strategist, Linda Mason transitioned her magazine media career into a consultancy business helping magazine brands develop successful positioning platforms.

Prior to that she was executive vice president, marketing for MPA – The Association of Magazine Media. At MPA she developed magazine industry wide marketing strategies and was a key player in conceptualizing and communicating the medium’s unique strengths to the association’s membership as well as advertising agencies and clients.

Mason also held various positions with Condé Nast including vice president, integrated marketing where she built and governed a business that integrated all elements of cross-platform, multi-brand, multi-media custom marketing and advertising for large corporate accounts. She was also a key contributor to Condé Nast’s positioning platforms.

Her magazine brand experience includes the launch of Elle Girl as Vice President/Publisher, publisher of Details and associate publisher at GQ where she started as fashion director.

Mason is a native New Yorker and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from New York University.
